2008

What a lovely day it has been. No school. No disturbance from anyone. Just me and my John Grisham, A Time To Kill storybook. I am not even half way through the 500 page book but I am already loving the story. It is about law and the courtroom scenario is just enthralling. As I inspire to be a lawyer one day(i think), this book just makes my dream even more realistic. As John Grisham is a lawyer himself, you know that the facts in the book are true. It gives me an inside life on what is feels like to be a lawyer. All I can say is it sounds really cool. But the character in the book, Jake Brigance is a defense attorney. And the last thing I would want to do is defend a criminal. But I guess there is where the most exciting part lies. I can’t wait to finish the storybook. I have to get my hands on more John Grisham books. And as for now, here I come law school even if you are not ready to accept. I will be knocking on your door in about 3 year’s time. I can’t wait! School starts tomorrow. Friends and teachers and homework will be pilling back into my life. I am half excited and have devastated. I am anxious. I am smiling and jumping around like an idiot because I am also nervous.

That was yesterday. The second day of the oh-so much anticipated 2008.
Today is today.
The 3rd of January 2008.
School has started. And the teachers have already started to freak me out about my major, MAJOR exam next year. I hardly understand anything. I feel like everything is moving too fast. I can remember it like yesterday, all the new form 1's(including me) arriving at my alma mater. And the 1A3 students grouping to be a family for the very first time. It took us some time to know each other, but we did it. And now, 3 years later, when we know each other so well, we are getting separated. It is so unfair! Two of my best friends are in different classes from me. SOB!SOB! But, hey, it's life. And that is part of LIFE's JOURNEY! Making new friends and at the same time keeping the old. I wish I could just pause the clock. Or turn back the handles. I don't want to grow up so fast. I want to enjoy life and not go of to college and learn.learn. learn. But I do hear college life is good! I will have to see for myself. Of course, there are certain things I can wait to do like drive a car! That would rock. Getting a job and working, paying for your own bills, I am not sure. Working sounds fun(if your job doesn't take the life out of you) but paying your own bills.....................................
Well, I just want to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

YESTERDAY IS BUT A DREAM, TOMORROW A VISION OF HOPE, LOOK TO THIS DAY FOR IT IS LIFE!

Movies: Back to back

I was really excited when I found out I was going to watch two movies back to back. I have never done it before, so definitely it will be something interesting. Anyway, I watched THE GOLDEN COMPASS and I AM LEGEND. Both movies for me ended abruptly. First of all, The Golden Compass did not reach expectations. Of course, it was fantastic with a different storyline but nothing amazing. I didn't enjoy the ending coz for me it stopped half way. But that just makes you want to watch the sequel. Which is a very good idea as it guarantees more money for the film at the Box Office. As for I Am Legend, the storyline surprised me. I expected aliens not man-eating humans(if that even makes sense) . But the storyline was very interesting until the hero(Will Smith) had to sacrifice himself for mankind. It was all too sudden and unexpected. But that is also what makes a good movie. For those who love action and adventure, I Am Legend is a must-watch. The Golden Compass is another magical movie with a different twist with great acting(I must say). As for the Back to Back movie watching, it was great. And I will definitely do it again. After all, there is nothing like Seeing ORIGINAL!
"BE ORIGINAL, SEE ORIGINAL!"

Thailand...Land for experiences

Just visited the Land of The Elephants, Thailand. Took a day trip there. It was, hmm...To describe it in one word....OKAYLAH! Visited a few Buddhist temples up on a hill. The temples were nice.Very calm and peaceful. The wind was blowing really hard and it was nice just to stand there and feel it on your face. There was this amazing view of Thailand from the temple on the hill. It was breathtaking. It was as if, the whole of Thailand was under your feet. No words can describe it. Just AMAZING,AWESOME,BREATHTAKING,WONDERFUL and the list goes on. Visited a zoo there as well. Saw two white Bengal tigers. Again, very amazing. Or how I say it, CUNTED! :)
Went into the town of Hat Yai which was quite chaotic like every normal town. The mall was nice. Except for the security guards who check your bags before you enter the mall. That was a different experience for me. But it was normal for everyone else there. Other than that, the driver of the van we hired was driving really, really fast. He was weaving in and out. He misses the trucks by only three inches. It was, again another experience as he was going at 130km/h. Super fast. All in all, Thailand was a country that is different from any of the other countries I visited.

Summary: Thailand holds a lot of experiences for me.

Breathe in, breathe out. This is what I've been telling myself the past few days. The pressure has been building and today it broke it's limit. Everything from school to the movie-making, it's causing everyone some rough times. This is definitely not the icing on top of a cake more like I'm stuck down in a sewerage. Pressure, is hard to handle. But thank God for the friends I have. They have been supportive though we have our own opinions. But through all this, I have also learnt that I'm not the only one that can't make decisions. changing my mind every minute. That is habit everyone has got to loss.
Right now, I need something like dance to cool me off. Because I love to dance just for fun. I really badly wanted to enter the competition organised by Astro and Disney channel in conjuction with HSM 2. I want to dance. I don't mind cheering either. But sadly I can't even do that. It's because I have a shoulder problem which comes once in a awhile. But I did have my fair share of cheerleading. And this is coming from the bottom of my heart, practicing everyday under the hot sun, is killing but the end product when you are out there strutting your stuff to the crowd the feeling is undescribeable. It's a feeling of excitement and fun and enjoyment. I feel the same way with dance. You get to express yourself I guess, in short. Well, I like to say thanks to all those who checked in my blog and left a comment. And nanny na, don't worry, I'm talking bout you , Baby Teeba or Wish Lish. Anyway, till next time...ADIOS!!!

YOU GOTTA BE BAD, BOLD AND WISER!!!
